Education & Professional Experience
Dr. Wang' received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Information Communications from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He has participated in several smart city infrastructure projects, where he was responsible for the design of urban sensor networks, transportation data platforms, and public service data integration architectures.
He currently serves as Principal Researcher at the Smart City Technology Lab. His main research areas include smart cities, AIoT applications, urban data platforms, smart transportation, and public service technologies. In recent years, he has also been involved in international smart city collaboration projects, promoting data sharing, system integration, and innovation in urban governance.

Dr. Wang specializes in the integration of smart city development and information communication technologies. Starting from the practical needs of city management, he designs digital infrastructure that is efficient, secure, and scalable. He has participated in multiple city-level ICT projects and has extensive experience in cross-department collaboration and system implementation.
In this lecture, Dr. Tan will share how smart cities can use sensing devices, real-time data analytics, and AI-based interpretation to improve traffic management, energy usage, public safety, and citizen service experiences. He will also discuss future trends in digital governance for modern cities.
