Dr. James Shue
Dr. Shue serves as Senior Vice President and CTO at Pegatron Corporation. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
Currently, Dr. Shue oversees Pegatron’s Research and Technology Center, which acts as a pivotal role in advancing next-generation communication technologies. Dr. Shue proactively participates in 5G and 6G events, All-Photonics Network technologies, and Data Center Interconnect (DCI) development. He hopes to cope with the future of global connectivity.
Education & Professional Experience
Dr. Chang received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from the National University of Technology. He previously worked in the R&D division of an international telecommunications equipment company, where he participated in several projects related to wireless communication systems, edge computing platforms, and enterprise network architecture planning.
He currently serves as Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at the National University of Technology. His main research areas include 5G/6G communication networks, edge computing, IoT platform integration, and smart field applications. In recent years, he has also been actively involved in industry-academia collaborations, assisting enterprises in implementing smart monitoring, real-time data analytics, and communication system optimization solutions.
Biography
Dr. Chang has long focused on the integration of next-generation communication technologies and smart applications. He is highly experienced in transforming complex communication architectures into practical and deployable solutions. His expertise spans academic research, enterprise system implementation, and large-scale field network planning, with in-depth knowledge of private 5G networks, low-latency transmission, and smart device connectivity.
In this lecture, Dr. Chang will share how next-generation communication technologies can help enterprises improve operational efficiency. He will also explore the application opportunities brought by the integration of AI, IoT, and edge computing in smart manufacturing, smart healthcare, and urban governance.
